The existing brown brick building required significant upgrades to both exterior and interior due to a few decades of neglect.  Externally, the structure appeared gloomy and uninviting which did not align itself to the new direction that the practice was heading towards.  Internally, new finishes and cabinetry were required as well as improving the layout of the oddly shaped plan which involved removing walls and creating efficient, usable spaces.   Compliance with current building codes was also part of the brief.
