One of 3 re-branded Bosu Sushii outlets located in a Hawaiian Centre in Melville.  The external tenancy faces the high traffic Canning Highway within a busy shopping centre.  The design sought to maximize exposure to capture potential customers.  The layout with the servery at an angle faces the most prominent corner of the premise with visual lines towards the street front as well as within the mall.  The materials palette and colours, with a slight industrial aesthetics, places emphasis on the colourful food on display whilst creating a comfortable environment for diners.  The sealed timber with expressed grains, usually for external applications, adds warmth to the atmosphere which effectively reflects on the food being offered without taking away from the colours of the fresh ingredients.

As with most of our designs, lighting played a significant role in creating both an inviting ambience as well as illuminating the store especially in the evenings like a lantern.  The linear strip lights in the ceiling draw attention into the shop and to accentuate the ‘lines’ that are prominent throughout the interior.
