Our studio was invited to participate in this international urban design competition for a proposed new urban centre in Indonesia with a focus on green civic design. The tropical climate and typhoon rains were used to our advantage in terms of generating power and water storage and distribution. Each part of the site is connected via a central waterway which forms part of the water park and other water features.
